Congratulations to Mr Ross McConachie OAM, former President of the Australia Japan Society – QLD, on being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to Australia-Japan relations, and to business.
For over 35 years, Ross has worked to support ties with Japan, including in business, investment, cultural, and education sectors.
He was previously awarded The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette, in 2020 by the Government of Japan.
He has had a particular interest in providing Senior High School and University students with practical knowledge of the broad range of Japan related careers that exist.
