The Brisbane City Council is inviting Brisbane-based businesses to host a Brisbane based university student with a multicultural background or from one of Brisbane’s 9 Sister Cities for a 4-week paid internship program, with 50% of the wage cost subsidised by Council.
Hosting an intern is an opportunity to:
- Engage more effectively with various clientele and partners
- Adapt your strategies with insights into diverse markets
- Build new relationships through our intern students’ networks
- Spark creativity and innovation within your team
- Support the development of future industry leaders.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open to businesses across a broad range of sectors, including aviation, digital and technology, education and training, health and aged care, media, professional services, tourism and hospitality, trade and investment, and many others.

The 4-week internship program will take place in Brisbane from 19 April to 14 May 2027.
