Farewell and thank you to Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Former Governor of Queensland and Chancellor of the Australia Japan Society – Queensland (AJS-QLD)
On behalf of the Management Committee and members of the Australia Japan Society – Queensland Inc. (AJS – QLD) I would like to thank Her Excellency for her chancellorship of the Society during her term as Governor of Queensland.
The Society is deeply appreciative of the Governor and Professor Nimmo’s interest in its aims, objectives and activities to further Australia Japan relations in the areas of business, culture and education throughout Queensland.
We were delighted that the Governor and Professor Nimmo undertook a very successful official visit to Japan in 2025, including official engagements in Tokyo, in Queensland’s Sister State of Saitama, and promoting Queensland at EXPO 2025, Osaka. This very meaningful visit served to further enhance and strengthen the longstanding and strong relationship that exists between Queensland and Japan.
We wish to congratulate Her Excellency on her very successful term as Governor of Queensland.
