Report – Australia Japan Dinner 2025

Members and guests of Australia Japan related organisations throughout South East Queensland gathered to celebrate at the 2025 Australia Japan Dinner, held at the Stamford Plaza on 21 August.

The dinner was hosted by the Australia Japan Society – Qld Inc. and Queensland Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc. and supported by the Japanese Society Gold Coast; Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brisbane; Australia Japan Business Cooperation Committee; Japan Community of Queensland; Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gold Coast; Japan Tourism Gold Coast;Japanese Club of Brisbane and Brisbane Seinendan.

Consul-General Ishikawa

We were delighted to welcome special guests Consul-General Ishikawa, Mrs Ishikawa and Deputy Consul-General Hanai

As the guest speaker for the evening Consul-General Ishikawa spoke about the integral role that science and technology holds in current and future Japan-Queensland partnerships in tribute to the theme of this year’s Osaka Kansai Expo: “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”

Guests were also treated to a special performance by the Brisbane Band (BB2), recently returned from performing at World Expo 2025 in Osaka and at the Tokyo Brass Festa.

The Australia Japan Dinner is always a very popular event and we look forward to welcoming everyone again in 2026.
