Bluey goes to Kobe

Kobe and Brisbane have been sister cities since 1985—and this past year marked their 40th anniversary!

To celebrate this friendship, Kobe City has teamed up with the beloved animation “Bluey” for a Bluey Fan Festival, and various collaborations.

Key highlights of Bluey in Kobe include:
  • Bluey Train: A “Bluey Train” is operating on the Kobe Municipal Subway Kaigan Line, as part of a collaboration between the two sister cities.
  • Special Artwork: Ludo Studio created a new illustration inspired by Brisbane and the hydrangeas of Kobe, celebrating the sister city relationship.
  • Events and Giveaways: BBC Studios is gifting 300 Bluey picture books at a Bluey Fan Festival in Kobe, featuring quizzes, games, and dancing
