AJSQ-QLD President and Past Presidents visit Saitama and Kobe

The AJS-QLD President and two Past Presidents have recently visited Japan and met with representatives from Kobe City and Saitama Prefectural Government.

Past President Ross Humphreys met with Vice Mayors of Kobe City and representatives from the Kobe Japan Australia Society (KAJS).

Immediate Past President Margaret Rackemann met with members of Kobe City Government’s International Department, representatives from the KJAS and members of Saitama Prefectural Government’s International Division (to introduce new AJS-QLD President David Shield).

The AJS-QLD has been involved with the Queensland Saitama Sister State relationship and the Brisbane Kobe Sister City relationship since their inception in 1984 and 1985 respectively. With the 40th anniversary of both relationships approaching it’s good to meet and discuss plans to mark these significant milestones, together with our ongoing initiatives.
