Members of the AJS-Q Committee hosted officials from Saitama Prefectural Government during their October trade mission to Queensland to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the Queensland Saitama Sister State relationship.

Despite the recent damage in Saitama from typhoon Hagibis more than 70 delegates travelled to Queensland to participate in a program of meetings with government, business, schools and universities, cultural organisations, friendship groups and sporting clubs.

The successful mission included the renewal of a number of longstanding relationships and agreements as well as the signing of several new MOU’s.

The AJS-Q has been involved with the Queensland Saitama Sister State relationship since it’s inception in 1984 and is delighted to see the relationship going from strength to strength.
