The AJS-Q has become aware that the National Library (NLA) has recently approved a new policy that will see cuts to Asia-related resources including the Library’s Japanese Collection.

The policy will also see the NLA  shift its collecting priorities from “China, Japan, Korea and, within South-East Asia: Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia and East Timor”  to Indonesia, China and the Pacific (including Timor-Leste)”.
