On Monday 3rd September, 2018, Dr Bando presented an update on the changes that have occurred in the status of Women in Japan, and also commented upon future proposed changes. Over 90 attendees were present at the event.
Dr Bando provided a fascinating insight into her own career as a pioneer in the Government, Political, and Academic spheres. In addition, the Hon Di Farmer, Minister for Child Safety, Youth and Women and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence in the Queensland Government, provided an oversight on the State Government’s current priorities in respect to her portfolio.
The event was co-hosted by the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Brisbane (JCCIB), the Australia Japan Society – Queensland (AJSQ) and the Consulate-General of Japan, Brisbane.
