On April 22, the Queensland (QLD) Government announced the establishment of an online consultation service as part of its efforts to assist international students who are unable to return home.

On April 22, the Minister of Innovation, Tourism and Industrial Development (International Education and Training) , Kate Jones, announced the establishment of an online consultation service for urgent mental health, visa and housing needs as part of a $22 billion budget to support international students who are unable to return from QLD.

In addition to tuition assistance, the state government will provide laptop computers, self-quarantine assistance sets, prepared meals and other living expenses assistance.

22日,クイーンズランド(QLD)州政府は,帰国できずにいる留学生への支援策の一環として,オンライン相談窓口の設置を発表しました。

4月22日,ケートジョーンズ州イノベーション・観光産業開発大臣(国際教育・訓練担当)は,QLD州から帰国できずにいる留学生支援の為の総額220億ドル予算の一部として,メンタルヘルス,ビザ,住居などの喫緊のニーズに関するオンライン相談窓口を設置した旨発表しました。更に州政府は,授業料支援の他,ラップトップ・パソコン,自己検疫時支援セット,調理済み食事やその他生活費支払い支援を行うとしています。

TAFE Food Bank for International Students

In addition to the initiative above, TAFE Qld has also launched a food bank to assist international students affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

Members and friends of the AJS-Q who would like to assist international students during this difficult time can donate non-perishable food items.  

Items can be delivered between 9:00AM – 4:00PM
