Join the AJSQ for a day of Japan-related activities, focused around QAGOMA’s stunning 9th Asia Pacific Triennial (APT9).

Program

10:00AM | Meet for a pre-tour coffee at the GOMA Cafe Bistro (overlooking the Brisbane River and Kurilpa Bridge) (own cost) (Cafe opens at 9:00AM)

10:30AM | AJSQ private tour and commentary of the four Japanese Artists featured in QAGOMA’s 9th Asia Pacific Triennial (APT9) and introduction to key themes and countries represented in the exhibition

11:15AM | Tour concludes

Tour is FREE  but participants MUST REGISTER WITH THE AJSQ TO JOIN THE TOUR

Participants can continue through the APT9 at their own pace before moving across to view the long-term exhibition A Fleeting Bloom in the Queensland Art Gallery

(APT9 and  A Fleeting Bloom exhibitions are both FREE)

1:00PM | AJSQ members and friends can join the public screening of the Japanese film Futatsume no Mado (Still the Water) in the QAGOMA cinema. FREE –  No pre-allocated seating or ticket purchase required. Please proceed to GOMA Cinema A 15 minutes prior to the start of the film)
