Congratulations to AJS -Q Committee member, Dr Taeko Imura for being recognised at the 2019 Australia Awards for University Teaching

AJS-Q Committee member Dr Taeko Imura recently received an award for ‘Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in 2019’ at the 2019 Australia Awards for University Teaching.

The QLD division Award ceremony was held at Old Customs House, in June 2021.

The award recognised Dr Imura’s sustained commitment to transforming learning with innovative approaches and engagement with Japanese language and Japanese community to support students’ employability and life-long learning.

A Senior Lecturer and Japanese Language Program Coordinator at Griffith University, Dr Imura also coordinates the AJS-Q’s annual ‘Japan Related Careers’ event for tertiary and secondary students.
