AJSQ Careers Evening - online
|
|
This is the first time this popular annual event has been delivered online in almost two decades.Join the event and hear from people who have learnt Japanese and have successfully utilized the language as part of their career paths.

With strong trading ties between Japan and Australia, Japanese language skills will provide you with an edge in the workplace. There are so many industries in which Japanese language skills can prove to be a major advantage. Receive some valuable insights from those who have pursued fluency in the language, and utilised their Japanese skills across a number of industries.

A representative from the Consulate – General of Japan will also present information on next year’s JET Programme. The JET program is a Japanese Government initiative, and has provided the platform for hundreds of Queenslanders to work in Japan, and deepen their understanding of Japan.

Japanese House in New Farm - Event

The AJS-Q has been assisting with contributions to the TAFE Qld. Food Bank, established to help international students affected by the COVID19 crisis.

Toiletries include items such as shampoo, conditioner, body and hand wash, hand sanitiser, wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes etc. Plastic shopping bags are also in great demand.

Assistance for International Students
|
|
Though Queensland is now on the road back from the COVID-19 outbreak, international students in Queensland are still in great need of various support services, including food and housing needs.
|
On April 22, the Queensland (QLD) Government announced the establishment of an online consultation service as part of its efforts to assist international students who are unable to return home.

Food Bank for International Students
|
|
TAFE Qld has launched a food bank to assist international students affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
|
|
|
|
|
AJS Japanese Study Group | now moved online!
|
|
From March 2020, the person-to-person gatherings for the Group were cancelled.
|
The group now uses an online conference call facility to maintain the regular Thu afternoon Study Group sessions.
|
|
|
|
