AJS-QLD 50th Anniversary ‘Evening in a Japanese Garden’
|
|
On Saturday 3 September the AJS-Q will host a very special 50th Anniversary event in the beautiful Japanese Garden at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens.
|
The Governor of Queensland Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, who is Chancellor of the Society, together with the Consul -General of Japan in Brisbane Mr Masuo ONO, who is a Patron of the Society, will attend this special event.
|
IMPORTANT
At this stage the Evening in a Japanese Garden’ event is proceeding.
|
However, as rain has been forecast for Saturday 3 September a final decision to proceed or cancel the event will be made at 12.00pm Saturday.
|
Please check the website after 12.00pm tomorrow.
|
Join us from 5:30pm and enjoy warm spring breezes through the trees and the soothing sound of water running over stones as you take a twilight stroll through the Japanese garden.
|
Then, as evening falls, settle in for a picnic on the lawn and watch traditional Japanese dancers, taiko drummers and a koto performance amidst 100’s of twinkling lights.
|
This is a unique opportunity to experience Japanese cultural performances in a very special setting.
|

PLEASE NOTE: Guests MUST provide their own food and beverages.

There will be NO food or beverages for sale at the event or in the Gardens precinct.
